Advanced Awnings was founded in 1992 by Mike Cohen, after 17 years in the industrial fabric industry.  Mike has been an owner, operator in the industrial fabrics business in Coloma since 1978.  Operating as Champion Upholstery, Mikes projects included canvas and awning work, as well as custom fabrication projects for commercial, industrial, and residential customers.  Mike first purchased commercial property in Coloma in 1980, and built our current commercial building, of 2900 square feet, in 1987.

    Advanced Awnings prides itself in its reputation for reliability, quality, technical capability, and service.  In the Sierra foothills, we are the leader in quality canvas awnings, and custom fabrication.  Advanced Awnings services El Dorado County, Placer County, and the Folsom Lake perimeter, as well as Amador, Nevada, and Sacramento counties. 

    Advanced Awnings is a California State licensed Contractor for commercial and residential work.  We are the only El Dorado County awning contractor with an in house fabrication facility.

    Our shop and showroom is a short drive from Placerville and vicinity, Auburn and the I-80 corridor, as well as the Folsom, El Dorado Hills and Granite Bay areas.
